"We recently purchased a home in Williamston with an existing fireplace insert. We called Alpha and Omega to inspect and clean it after attempting to light a fire and filling our house with smoke. The two technicians who came out to clean and inspect it were professional and courteous and communicated the issues we were having clearly. We decided to take their recommendations and have our old insert with no liner removed and a new one installed. Our chimney crown was also original (1970s) and needed to be re-done to accommodate the new set up. The team that demo’d and poured our new crown was a very hardworking group. They arrived on time and were careful and courteous and respectful during the course of the day. It took them a bit longer than anticipated but they stayed late and finished up and provided pictures of their progress so I didn’t have to get on the roof to look myself. The crew to install the insert was scheduled to come out a few days later to let the new concrete cure. This crew also arrived on time and were friendly and hard-working. Unfortunately, they ran into a couple of issues during the install that prevented them from finishing that day (Friday). We were rescheduled almost immediately after they discovered they wouldn’t be able to complete the job that day for the following Monday. There was some concern that the issue would require the new crown to be redone but Steve (the owner) came out himself on Monday morning with the original technician and they assessed the situation quickly and were able to resolve the issues. They communicated with me along the way to keep me informed about what was being done and why. They also showed me lots of pictures to help explain and answered all of my questions. It ended up taking longer than expected but we are confident that the work was done correctly and safely. It is clear to me that Steve cares a great deal about his customers safety and satisfaction but also about his employees. Being onsite at a job to teach/mentor a young technician shows me he has a great deal of integrity. Many thanks to Steve, Shawn and Dave for all of their hard work! Alpha and Omega have earned our business and we will definitely recommend them to anyone needing chimney/fireplace service."
